Jeffery Cavin "Jeff" Davis Blackshear, GAMr. Jeffery Cavin “Jeff” Davis, 52, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008, at his residence following a sudden illness.Born in Japan, he had lived in Pierce County for most of his life. During his career Jeff had worked for Streat’s German Car Repair and had owned J & A Imports. He then went on to work as a Fuel Calibration Inspector for the Georgia Department of Agriculture. Jeff was a son of the late Harley Merritt “H.M.” & Margaret Elizabeth Pittman Davis and was also preceded in death by a brother, Harley Davis. Jeff will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and brother.Survivors are two daughters, Holly Davis Sweat & Josh Tippins and her mother, Donna Deloach and Marla Davis & Chad Royal and her mother Rene’ Dixon all of Blackshear; a sister, Lynn Davis Roberts and her fiance’ Joey Mattox of Blackshear; 2 grandchildren, Cavin Zachary Sweat and Leigha Marie Sweat; an aunt and uncle, Kaye & Gene Bowen of Blackshear; nieces and nephew, Jami Davis Carter, Sara Davis and Justin Roberts; a great niece and great nephew, Mia Roberts and Seth Carter and several other relatives.A memorial service for Mr. Davis will be held Thursday afternoon, March 13, 2008, at 2:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.Memorialization is by cremation.Visitation for Mr. Davis will be held Wednesday evening from 6 until 9 at the funeral home.Sympathy may be expressed by signing our online register at www.pearsondial.com.Pearson-Dial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
