i appreciate all the volunteers who clean up our streets. the problem i have is the lack of enforcement that we don't use by fining the litter bugs, even if it is a cigarette flying out someones window. we all pay for these sad practices in the long run. roads look good for a day or so, then back to the mess they usually are. we need to keep them mowed and neat, after all lord knows people are getting paid big money to do this with our tax money.
There was a one-time certification fee of about 3k that was paid by donors. The organization is run by volunteers not by the government entities. All the mayor's, the county manager and base CO did was sign a proclamation supporting the organization. There is no cost to the taxpayer.
