The airport issue has become a cause celebre for local green eco-weenies.

Well, I see my early premonition about the true nature of the local Earthkeepers crowd was well founded. I invite your particular attention to the leftist, anti-capitalist, man-as-scourge-of-Earth tone of the anti-airport crusading remarks of one "Greenery." http://www.topix.com/forum/city/kingsland-ga/T4JVKR7USHNQ23QDM/p14#lastPost P.S., Just this Friday, at about 2:00PM, as I was headed to Aunt B's, a "rare swallow tailed kite" lazily drifted over Colerain Road about 100 yards east of the Agape Christian Church. Addendum @ 1600 HRS: You know, I'll predict right now that when the new JDA director finds a business - God forbid an industry - willing to loacte here, if it will produce a cubic yard of a gaseous emission or a liter of liquid effluent, these same effete eco-snobs will oppose it. The chosen site will probably be touted as the last known pristine habitat for the endangered sabre-toothed sand gnat. These folks are, of course, our local dues-paying members of Green Peace, the Sierra Club, Friends of the Earth, et al - the same folks who are preventing offshore drilling, drilling in ANWR, and U.S. energy independence in general. What the hell, they've already made theirs and retired here. I can't help but wonder about the environmental foot prints of the endeavors where they made their fortunes. Oh, and by the way, poor old Kingfish, the shameless vote whore, still desperately vying for attention and votes at any cost, has called their attention to this post. Alas, "Greenery" professes to be unaware of my blog's existence. Kingfish of course does not know how to post a link. Would someone please do it for me. Thank you. another voter Reply » Report Abuse Judge it! #289 25 min ago You mentioned 9 different potential sites. Where are the others? Trust me: it matters not. They would find an environmental imperative to ban the monster, man, from developing those sites as well.

I delivered your message. The link has been installed. I know this is going to get pretty interesting.

No doubt;thanks.

Too funny really - I was unaware that recycling or creating parks were "leftist, anti-capitalist, man-as-scourge-of-Earth" undertakings. As far as the following: "These folks are, of course, our local dues-paying members of Green Peace, the Sierra Club, Friends of the Earth, et al - the same folks who are preventing offshore drilling, drilling in ANWR, and U.S. energy independence in general. What the hell, they've already made theirs and retired here. I can't help but wonder about the environmental foot prints of the endeavors where they made their fortunes." ...you might want to consider actually checking your facts for none of the above apply. Thank you for the chuckle, though.

The Blank Panthers served free lunches; Hamas built schools; the Nazis made the trains run on time; Earthkeepers first built parks and forced economically indefensible recycling programs upon gutless pols saying "We're only here to help you." The green, leftist camel's nose is under the tent.

You publish your insidious, obstructionist, lefty crap under your real name and I'll be glad to do a fact check on you.

I thought you were ignoring Topix. For your political future, I would suggest you stick by that pledge. You are only lowering yourself to Kingfish status.

Jay Moreno said...

RE: Kingfish - au contraire. I will never prostitute my true beliefs for a few votes. I give you, for example his telling Rick Rogers that yes, he would vote to end executive sessions.

Your other point is well taken, though.

"The Blank Panthers"??? Public parks as a way to undermine society? How predictable and trite these rantings are...and how sad it is, Jay, that you strive so to create discord instead of working to find a way forward that will strengthen and unite our community.

"The strongest bond of human sympathy, outside of the family relation, should be one uniting all working people, of all nations, and tongues, and kindreds." A. Lincoln (or do you consider him to be an "obstructionist lefty" too?).

Trust me, your weenieship, intellignet, conservative, capitalist, pro-American readers know exactly what I'm talking about. All anti-American, subversive groups tend to try to lull the public into a sense of trust by good deeds or esposuing some cause like banning the hunting of baby seals. Who could be against that, right. Ah, but the leap from there to interfering with animal testing to advance medical science was remarkably short, wasn't it. Who could be against saving the spotted owl. Ask northwestern timbermen. Then it turned out that there were far more owls around than originally estimated and, they seemed to nest quite well in the lighted sign on the front of a K-Mart. Remember.

Mark my words, had this group been formed here when the mill was operating, they would have had the EPA all over it. Moreover, it will come to pass that this group will oppose a business wanting to locate here. Just wait.

Is'nt it curious that the anonymous green eco-weenie has at hand a Lincoln quote which could well have come from the mouth of Karl Marx?

Jay Moreno said...

Almost forgot: our local greens have already come out against the buidling of a marina at Cumberland Harbour (manatees rather than snail darters) and the Navy's use of active sonar to maintain ASW readiness (cetaceans rather than snail darters).

"All anti-American, subversive groups tend to try to lull the public into a sense of trust by good deeds..."

Oooooh scary "good deed people"! So...using your convoluted "logic", I assume that you're suggesting that "good deeds" are anti-American? What, exactly, are you saying about your own country, Jay?

Lincoln as Marxist - that's a new one. Does anyone actually take you seriously? (Actually, don't bother answering that - I've asked around town and no one does).

Jay Moreno said...

I see: it is your conviction that no one takes me seriously that compels you to try to vitiate the effectiveness of my message.

Anonymous said...

That's right - no one takes you seriously, Jay...but take heart in the fact that you are a great source of amusement for many. The most common term associated with you is "crack-pot" (it could be worse, I suppose).

By the way, no one else is needed to "vitiate the effectiveness" of your "message" - you do an admirable job of that on your own.

Jay Moreno said...

Good. Go right on believing that. I believe you'll find that Bill and Jerry were once of that same opinion - back when they were still in office.

I stop reading this stuff because all you do is yap back and forth spouting off how intelligent each of you are. Then I go back hoping it ain't so and there it is again. I think I am a real dumb ass for going back thinking there may be some substance instead of babbling back and forth calling each other names. I think I need to get a life and quite wasting my time. May be we all need to get a life. I sure must need to if I keep thinking there will some change. I just think some of you are wearing out the dictionary and thesaurus. Sure seems to be a lot of self promoting.

Jay, I'm curious: you strike me as a relatively intelligent man with fair-to-moderate linguistic abilities. What has led you to being an extremist, hate-mongering, anti-environmental rabble-rouser? What is the genesis of your paranoia? I would be most interested in hearing of your educational/professional/personal background. I'm not being facetious - I am rather fascinated (in the same way that one feels oddly compelled to look at a 12-car pile-up on the highway).

And I do wonder how many opinions written here do not meet the "blog owner approval" criteria.

Jay Moreno said...

TO: "I stop reading this stuff because....

Rst assured that while I own a dictionary (my speling is only 99.9percent accurate) I do not own a thesaurus. When I took the SAT's in 1965, I scored in the 99+ percentile of the verbal section.
That means that I was in the top nine of every 1,000 who tested that day nationwide. I have, as they say nowadays, total mastery of all of the words you see me use. I trust that you actually feel that you need to get a life and QUIT wasting your time rather than "quite" wasting your time.

Madam (for surely you are either a woman or a pathetically effeminate male), I would say that with an IQ just four points shy of the universally accepted threshold for genius, I am indeed "relatively intelligent."
If you have read my previous "reply" you will know that on one day in the spring of 1965, I proved to have linguistic skills superior to at least 901 of every 1,000 people in all of America who took the SAT that year. I would venture to say that that that would qualify me as being a "man with fair-to-moderate linguistic abilities." As to the following ad hominem attacks - "What has led you to being an extremist, hate-mongering, anti-environmental rabble-rouser? What is the genesis of your paranoia?" _ none are remotely true. I fully support rational environmental sensitivity -the kind which aknowledges that man is an integral part of nature with a right to survive and avail himself of the fruits of the Earth in the pursuit of survival. I do not subscribe to radical, anti-human, anticapitalist environmentalism as religion that undo the last thousnad years of human civilization, decimate the human population, achieve negative population growth, and return to a world of pre-industrial revolution, communal, subsistence living. That is the true Holy Grial of the high priests of the mush-brained, ultra-left wing, maudlin environmental religion.
As to my personal history, when you begin to post in your real name, we'll talk.

As to "And I do wonder how many opinions written here do not meet the "blog owner approval" criteria," last week was the 67th week of publication of this blog. There have been several hundrd thousand replies. Maybe two dozen have been rejected for beimng too filthy or just plain crazy. I would also note that there is one particularly pathetically demented misanthrope whose bizarre, Ted Kazinskieque, incoherent ramblings are routinely rejected as an act of kindness. Have I not published any of yours?

By the way, if you would like to be jolted bvack to reality by learning what really makes you liberal, emotion driven, green eco-weenies tick, read "The Vision of the Annointed" by Thomas Sowell. You will be shocked by how well he knows you.

"Madam (for surely you are either a woman or a pathetically effeminate male)" - ah...so we can now add homophobia to the list, can we?

Tsk...poor Jay who must prattle on about his (dubiously) admirable statistics because he has nothing of concrete worth to offer Camden County in the way of concepts, solutions or proposals.
How easy it is to condemn others from your lofty height without ever formulating solutions!

But do tell...what have you done lately to improve anyone's life? Have you mentored a child, eased a burden, contributed to any effort, involved yourself in anything beyond this billboard for your verbal masturbation?

"I do not subscribe to radical, anti-human, anticapitalist environmentalism as religion that undo the last thousnad years of human civilization, decimate the human population, achieve negative population growth, and return to a world of pre-industrial revolution, communal, subsistence living." Nor do I. Oh but wait - you have no knowledge of who I am, what I believe, my own history - and nor do you care, apparently. You condemn without cause, Jay. Perhaps your much-vaunted cerebral capacity would be expanded if you listened from time to time.

The true mark of an intelligent man is the ability to gather facts before arriving at a conclusion. (Please do check your well-used dictionary re: inductive versus deductive reasoning).

"an IQ just four points shy of the universally accepted threshold for genius" - there is no such universal measurement, Sir: do you refer to the Stanford-Binet or the Weschler AIS (The only IQ scales accepted by American universities)?

PS. Should you care at all, my background includes service in Vietnam, Master's Degrees in Psychology and Poli-Sci, 10 years+ as a resident of 3 countries and political office.

Jay Moreno said...

"Have you mentored a child,...?"

Glad you asked. I actually just finished teaching about 75 12 and 13 years olds during my 15 week student teaching experience here in Camden County. I'll be receiving my state teacher certification in the mail any day now.

I, too, am a Vietnam combat veteran - a VOLUNTARY one, I might add.

Amazingly, with you education, you don't know that the accepted threshold for "genius" is an IQ of 140 on the Stanford_Binet or the Wechsler scales. Perhaps you were out of class and chained to a tree the day they taught that.

Ideas? I don't have ideas? Right. My long term readers would likely tell you different.

I would not care to live in a foreign country - the U.S.A. suits me just fine. Where were you, Comrade - Cuba, Venezuela, Red China?

Yawn...you're just boring me now, Jay. Post after post of the same old megalomaniacal, xenophobic nonsense.
Have a "nice" life in your bitter world of intolerance, ignorance and hate.

Jay Moreno said...

You too. It is bad enough that your intelligence and education have been so severely compromised by the infection of liberalism. Hopefully, you'll avoid Alzheimers. I trust you have enough sense left to know that while you can use your full vocabulary here and alwys be understood, yuo will need to tone it down considerably for your adoring dupes on Topix.

Not sure where my purported megalomania came from. However, I guess my xenophobia saw its genesis when I volunteered for Vietnamese Language School with the 1st marine Interrogation and Translation Team, then worked 18 hour days performing surgery at the Hoa Khan Children's Hopsital just north of DaNang during my first six months, then did Medcaps (Medical Civic Action Programs)whenever I could when I was stationed with 4th FFSG in Dong Ha for six months. But, admittedly, while I have personally saved human lives, I've never saved a snail darter.
