So that's what happened to Barry King - another of Big Thug Willie's victims!

Who all was on the county commission when King was fired? Who was the chairman? http://www.jacksonville.com/news/georgia/2009-07-15/story/us_to_camden_sheriff_pay_up_663_000

What I don't understand is why the Commissioners don't get off their butts and sue Smith. He had a bond and even if that is not in force he sure as hell is not judgement proof. Why should he get by with misappropriation of funds and Camden county suffers.

My guess is that if sued, Smith's attorney would argue that what he did illegally with the drug funds, he honestly thought was within the allowable uses and should therefor be immune from prosecution, either crimnally or civilly. If it were to be tried in Camden, with a jury of Thuggies, Smith would prevail. The commissioners - especially Berry - probably know this.

Jay the one thing you are forgetting. MY OPEN RECORDS REQUESTS.

I still have them, remember Bill saying he sought permission from the DOJ and got? I still have my copy of the one he wanted $290.00 to try and find those lost documents. He knew he needed permission, so he knew what he was doing was illegal. I should sue him for trying to rip me off.

By which you mean that Berry was on the commission or was the chairman at the time? In either case, I believe your Berry lore is a little lacking. My understanding is that Berry recruited King, they remain the best of friends, and that Berry was against firing him.

Bill Smith should be accountable for the misuse of funds. Are the Feds ever going to punish him? I don't get it! However, Tommy's statement about not having any involvement is Bull. He had plenty of knowlege of the misuse during his employment. He handled the general funds not the seized asset account. But being purchasing agent he was aware of the "tit for tat" that was being done. He is a liar!

Ho, humm....more Thuggie sour grapes.

You are quite wrong about me being a BTW thuggie. I have known Tommy personally for 20+ years. You sir have been bamboozled by him.
