Today's qualifiers.

I got an affirmative message from St. Marys City Clerk Darlene Roellig that there were no additional qualifiers in St. Marys today. I've not had e-mails from either the Woodbine or Kingsland city clerks. I'm going to go with the assumption there were no qualifications in either city until I can call them tomorrow to verify. As y'all were: This came in from Woodbine City Administrator Sandy Rayson at 5:40 PM. Mr. Moreno: The following people qualified for the City Council Posts today for the City of Woodbine: Louise Mitchell C. C. Higginbotham, Jr. http://camdencommentary.blogspot.com/2009/08/who-hat-is-dat.html

Jay,

Maybe you can clarify things in the St. Marys election. I do not live in St. Marys. I know the 3 posts are all non-geographical posts (open). So do the citizens vote for all 3 posts, or is there a geographical limit on the voters, and they can only vote for one post? I know that is a bit confusing question, but I think you get the gist of it. Thanks.

Yes, every voter may vote for all three posts and the mayor. The numbering of the posts serves little purpose other than to facilitate candidates choosing which incumbent they think they have the best chance of defeating.
