Unless the Park Service made C & S Septic Co. cover the holes that they had already dug, one of Billys boys will probably go over there at night and finish the process. One of the penalties the Feds should give Jenkins is that he has to give up the property early because he is not being a good steward for the island property which he does not own but obviously thinks he does. He should never be allowed to stay there past his time. Who does he think he is? From all that I have read about Ben Jenkins, he thinks he owns that property and he can stay there as long as he wants. He has been so protected by Bill Smith all these years I'm sure he thinks he too is above the law since he has been all these years, thanks to Billy.

My question is how did the contractor get a backhoe over to the island to dig the trench?

It would have had to go over on the Park Service boat. So, didn't anyone ask any questions why the backhoe was going over to the island?

Jenkins thinks he has it made because of Smith. Remember there were orders by the Court for Jenkins arrest and Smith claimed he didn't know him and couldn't find jenkins. But Smith had no trouble finding his property, hauling him to the Camden Couty cout house twice in a effort to arrest Stein, Jackson and Viola. Also Dayton Gillette gave an affidavit that Smith refused to serve Jenkins and quit because of Smith's refusal to serve suits and papers.

Good question Bob-Bob. Didn't Martin Gillette have a barge that he would transport large items to the island for people? Don't think his is in the business anymore but he may still have the barge. Or, Billy Smith probably has something that would transport cars, trucks, etc.,etc.? Just guessing but there must be someone out there that knows how it got there and if the Park Service took it there then that might be grounds for someone else to be transferred to a desk job in Atlanta.
