Very interesting. Can anyone confirm it?

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Who is "Bill Jones, III" and why is he supporting ...": Jay, I heard something that maybe you can check out with your Mole and see if he can confirm or deny. It seems at this particular fund raiser held at Cabin Bluff, which as I understand it is owned by Sea Island, the Sheriff and Mr. Jones got into a heated discussion over something that resulted in Mr. Jones leaving the fund raiser early. Upon everyone exiting the driveway of Cabin Bluff an astute observer noted that the "Elect Bill Smith Sheriff" signs which has been in place on the way into Cabin Bluff earlier in the evening, had been removed and replaced with "Vote for Tommy Gregory" signs. Thought you might be interested. Posted by Anonymous to Camden Commentary at July 13, 2008 2:43 PM For those who don't know, "Mr. Jones," is Bill Jones, III, multi millionaire (if not billionaire) owner of the Sea Island Company. He's the guy trying to buy influence on the county commission to grease the skids for the airport move and his ultra-high-end fly-in community that he plans to build around it. Jones held a private, invitation only, fundraiser for Smith at his private Cabin Bluff lodge just in case Smith did get his puppet troika installed on the commission. Bill Jones, III can easily write a personal check for way more than the paltry $20 to $30 millions Smith has peed away with the drug funds. Given the way Smith has been popping of at "enemies" lately, I could see such a clash of colossal egos happening. Can anyone who was there confirm or deny this story?

U. S. Magistrate James Graham is the former partner of Sea Island general counsel James Gilbert. Maybe they had lunch on Friday.

I was talking to someone about this just yesterday. It did not make sense to me that Mr. Jones would hold a fundraiser for Bill Smith, as he does not live in the county. So it seems right that he, Mr. Jones is trying to grease the wheels as you say. Maybe he doubts Bill electability therefore left early. Not a fundraiser at all, but a let’s lay out a plan of attack meeting. I know 2 people who got invitations who had no intentions to attend the meeting. We could not figure out what the connection was on them getting an invitation, as they are both voting for Tommy. I also heard from a reliable source that the Inmate (trusties) clean up crew was at the home of Mr. Dohn, who hosted the party on Friday to freshen up the place. Nothing new on that front for BTW. Vote for Tommy!!!!

It would seem odd, that whomever you say was invited to our dinner was either (a) for Mr. Berries Do-Boy, or (b)not in attendance, as everyone invited was in attendance. It would seem some only imagines that they would be invited to such a prestigious event, maybe out of common jealousy.

Get a clue y'all. Jack Kingston put the airport bug up the butt of all the drones who participated in the Washington fly-in. Jones pumps money to Kingston to have his way with the feds. Jones wants an airport. Jack can push the Navy & the FAA. Connect the dots, foller the dollars.

Jones wants the City Council, County Commission and the rest of the elected officials on board with his land grab and privatization of public property scheme. Quit kissin' the behinds of the rich and the wannabees.

If Jones thinks BTW is a political liability, he'll toss him under the bus in a second and try to buy the next guy in line. Its the nature of the beast.

I published this one in hopes that the writer might have a bilingual fellow tribe member who could translate it into Standard American English. I have no clue what he is trying to communicate. Anyone?

Jay,

I think he was talking to me about 2 people I know that were invited and did not attend. It seems he is saying everyone invited attended. I know one of the two invitees was out of town on vacation, and I just face to face confirmed with the other invitee that he did not go either. NO envy, just the truth.

It is not rocket science. Bill Jones had some idea it would be to the Sea Island Companies benefit. They are in the money making business. They had some idea Smith has some thing to offer if elected. It was in the Sea Island Companies best interest. The Companies could care less about who they have to get in bed with to make money. Bill Smith, the Camden Partnership shell, etc. It is always about the money. That is what is going to get Smith.

Just to fuel the fire, The Ponderosa is right across the street!!!!!!!!!

If you have the Sheriff's property close to the airport, you can fly anything in or out!!!!

Find it very disturbing to hear Cabin Bluff and Bill Jones III had this event for Bill Smith since 2 Woodbine City Councilmen have connections here! Long time rumor here that "somebody" wants to make Woodbine a little "Sea Island" community with shops and gated communities!! Who can afford it-the rich, only when they fly into the newly relocated airport unless the voters vote NO on airport issue!!!!!!!!

Sorry Rick the Ponderorsa is not even close to where the new airport location would be.
