Just a friendly reminder...
to Commissioners Rainer, Sears, Zell and all county employees: Your health insurance premiums will be raised in January now that you have been given "fair warning," right, commissioners?

Just curious, why is it so important to you that the insurance rates for county employees get raised?
No you're not "just curious": you're hping to get me to say something that you can later use against me should I decide to run.
Now that we have that out in the open, let's review. A one fairly recent meeting, Staci Bowick made a very convincing presentation in which she showed that the premiums being charged employees are a ridiculously huge show of vote-buying, politically motivated largesse from the BOC foir their neefit, funded unwillingly by the tax payers-at-large. Thye were, on average, only about 20% of what comparable plans cost in the real private sector world.
At that meeting, ALL 5 commissioners agreed with her and siad trhey were ready to proceed with a long-overdue rate increase. By the next meeting, 3 of the 5 had been sufficiently threatened by employees that they wimped out.
Sears opened the original crack in the dam by saying that she did not think it was "fair" that the employees would not have at least 6 months warning of a coming increase. Zell and Rainer went along, defeating very convincing arguments by Berry and Keene - particualarly Keene - in favor of the modest rtate increase.
It ended with St. David, the patron Saint of GOBs, making much ado about how the employees have now been warned and should not be surprised when the council votes in the rate increase in Decemebr to be effective January 1.
It is simply my intention to remind them and the employees, from time to time, that the clock is ticking.
So, how many of us really believe that they will not wimp out again in December?
By the way, I also happen to believe that employees are due their denied COLAs at the earliest time we can afford it.
My Gawd, I just read my last comment. I should never type before that second cup of coffee. Sorry. Try this corrected version:

No Jay, actually just curious. You have already said enough for anyone to hold against you should you decide to run but thanks for trying to read my mind.
thank you. My more discerning readers will immediately recognize the hilarious confirmation of my premise inherent in your reply!
Knew you wouldn't post it.....PUSSY!!! You wouldn't post it because it makes you look stupid. Please waste your money and run for office.
