GTU coverage of the Board of Ethics news I brought you a week ago. ???

To be fair, this article does bring you the wisdom of the noted jurist, Thug Void. http://www.jacksonville.com/news/georgia/2009-07-07/story/st_marys_ethics_board_cannot_rule_on_complaints

Now that Vaughts cover has been BLOWN. He's trying to make rational statements to show validity for his campaign, NOT. But I must give him kudos for telling the truth about the state of affairs in St. Marys. They are indeed in political turmoil. This is'nt by accident. Hase, DeLoughy, Weaver and Trader have brought shame and disgrace to the council by only focusing on carrying out Charlie Smith and Sea Island agenda.

There is however a way to end this madness. VOTE ALL OF THEM OUT OF OFFICE.

How far out in the woods can you be before you are lost? Vaught's suggestion that there be four seperate complaints is ridiculous.
As I understand the ordiance the ethics commission has no powers. They just investigate and send it on to the council for action. Filing four seperate complaints is a waste of time. First off, as some one pointed out, you have to have the four to meet to have violated the sunshine law. Now if you were to send in four seperate complaints the council would have to vote on each one. What would the other three do? Vote to do in the one that is before them. That seems unlikely. What a dumb as* suggestion. The scrapping of the meaningless ordinance seems to be the only solution. What a waste of time and engry. The big question is how did we get such a piece of crap in the first place. It had to be reviewed and approved by the council. That says a lot for the bunch representing us. What they can get right is very little. That has been prove over and over. In St. Marys or Saint Marys it has been proven over and over the least government would sure as hell be best for us.

Tell us more about Thug's "campaign." For what, city council or the county commission?
Thug is little more than our local, low budget version of a cross between David Hasselhof and Burt Parks.

Vaught on the council would be better than the brightest of the four jerk's that are bottle necking city government. Now that really says it all for those four foul ups. We can't afford much more from that ineffective bunch of screw ups. I say keep the hose on them until we wash their butts to where ever screw ups go.

you hit the nail on the head. doug cant see where he is going much less the city or county.

What a damn mess. The only thing I can think of is that we are running out of damn fools. The council is stacked with them and the four jerks have now stacked the etchics board with some of the same types. If we had stupid applications we would have our quota. Vaught bitching that they were being used for political reasons is crap. What does it matter if some one reports violations and it is political? That does not make the violation right. Using Vaught's logic means they decide the matter before there is an investigation. Damn we are screwed. All you do is chalk it up to politics and they get a free ride. What kind of foolishness is that? You don't judge on motives. You judge on merits to the complaint. Hell it is all political. That bunch makes the whole community look like fools.

I wonder how Charlie Smiths father feels about him literally destroying the community he helped to build. The foolish four nor their cohorts could've screwed the city up the way Charlie is leading them to.

Jay, I hear they're floundering as to whether he should run for Mayor or County Commissioner. I vote neither...... The last thing we need is another Charlie puppet.

Anonymous, I must use your statement "If we had stupid applications we would have our quota." This is the best description of the foolish four.

Let me guess: Thug would run on his "record" as a former city councilman - and of course the fact that he was once a cop.

If ever there were a case where it should be obvious to any idiot that the candidate is merely a puppet - in this case of the Downtown Merchant's Association (he's a past president and perennial officer of some sort) and God knows who else in that incestuous little group of downtown loons that constantly feeds at the public trough - Thug's candidacy would surely be it.

Add to Thug's list of qualifications:
Golf cart salesman
Ad space salesman
Electric boat salesman
Failed cafe handy man
Tourism tram driver
TV Camden shill
Official county mc, and
Sidekick to the county's official head parrot head

" [ ] head parrot head": speaking of Birds.

Glad to see you recognize God for a change!

No, just a perfectly good, universally understood, English expression.

I see Kiwanis has not used Vaught as mc for their festivals for the past couple of years. I understand he and his cronies are quite miffed about that.

The guy feels a sense of entitlement for some reason.

We desperately need people who are'nt seeking office for self interest. We need people who have a passion and desire for effective, fundamental government. If we replace what we have with anyone that has previously held office, we are asking for a continuation of the disaster we currently have.
