This just in..

From an Afro-American Camdenian who apparently did not quite make the cut for his church's junket to Saddleback. Less than an hour ago, Big Thug Willie was standing just outside the door of the black Mt. Orum Baptist Church in Waverly where he was scheduled to be the guest speaker (IRS be damned) at their 7:00 o'clock service. Smith was approached by a white guy. Thinking he was yet another fawning, indebted supporter, Smith smiled broadly in greeting. The man said, "Bill, I've got some papers for you." Clueless, Smith replied, "Really? What is it?" The man handed the papers to Smith, saying, "Here, see for yourself." Smith opened the papers and immediately blanched. He had just been served the very court summons he had been dodging for nearly a week. Now red faced with anger, Smith shouted "You've got a helluva lot of nerve serving me at a church. How did you find me?" The unknown server replied "The F.B.I. agent who told me knew right where you would be." A then absolutely livid Smith raged "Who the hell are you? What's your name?" The server responded "The hell with you! I don't have to tell you who I am!," then turned to leave. Smith yelled after him "I'll remember you, pal! I'll remember you!" The server responded, "Oh, yeah the judge said 'Don't be late.'" With that, the server left, leaving a raging, red-faced Smith standing among the stunned, black, indentured voters. Update, 07/03 @1334 HRS. It now appears that Big Thug is so enraged and mortified by allowing himself to be caught up to and served a subpeona last night that he has instructed one of his in-house cyber hit-man cowards, Deputy David "Black 'Copter" Mills, to go on TOPIX and claim that the event I've accurately described never happened. http://www.topix.com/forum/city/kingsland-ga/TPDD8M38HFSANOK10/p2#lastPost Well, on the tenth, having been served last night exactly as I've described, Big Thug will either show up in front of Judge Williams as ordered, or she will no doubt order a bench warrant for his arrest. We shall see. Update, 07/03 @1450 HRS. It is now known to me that the process server's affidavit of service will show that William E. Smith was served at the Mt. Orum Baptist Church in Waverly, GA at exactly 1910 HRS (7:10 PM) on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008. The affidavit of service was faxed moments ago to the Clerk of Superior Court. It will be filed and available for public inspection before close of business today. At such time, the coward David "Black 'Copter" Mills will be an officially certified liar - redundant though that may be.

You are right on with the IRS. First thing in the morning, I am going to report this to the IRS, unless you already have done so. What a crock.

A stop-work order was issued last summer after officials learned Camden County Jail inmates were building a house on the island and the work had begun without National Park Service approval or a required county building permit

Ben Jenkins was issued the citation Monday after officials with the Park Service witnessed a contractor working on the septic system for the house.

According to the citation, a park ranger saw an employee of Kingsland-based C&S Septic Tank Service on a back hoe installing the septic system. The company employee dug a 5-foot-deep ditch that was 20 feet long and 10 feet wide. A 25-by-50 foot drain field also was dug, "causing substantial damage to the natural resources," according to the citation.

When the ranger asked Jenkins to have the contractor stop the work, Jenkins refused. Work stopped after Jenkins was issued the citation, according to the report.

C&S employees didn't return a phone call Wednesday for comment.

Jenkins has no listed telephone number and couldn't be reached for comment.

Jenkins was sent two warning letters, one last year and one this year, cautioning him not to continue work on the home without a permit, said Bill Reynolds, Park Service spokesman in the regional office in Atlanta.

"Because he ignored the two letters, we issued the citation," Reynolds said. "He was cited a violation for the construction of a building without a permit on park areas."

Possible penalties for the violation include a fine, jail time or both, he said. Reynolds said he hasn't yet researched the maximum penalties allowed in such a case.

Jenkins must appear before a judge in U.S. District Court to answer the citation, Reynolds said. Such cases are typically heard by a magistrate.

Jenkins must secure permission from the federal government before he or a contractor can work on the property, Reynolds said.

The construction project first became an issue last year after a Times-Union report about the use of inmate labor to build a house on private property.

Less than a week after the story was published, a Times-Union reporter and photographer were ordered to appear in court to face possible criminal trespass charges.

Those charges were dismissed, but during his testimony, Jenkins said he paid deputies for the inmates' work on his property and he saw nothing wrong with it.

Inmates continued to work on the property without a building permit after the hearing until county officials denied a building permit and issued a stop-work order, followed by another stop-work order from the federal government.

According to officials with the Camden County Sheriff's Office, the house was being built for the Shepherd Center, an Atlanta-based medical facility that specializes in spinal injuries.

The house was intended to be a vacation home for patients.

The property is scheduled to be vacated in October 2010 after a lease expires that was part of the agreement to establish Cumberland Island as a national seashore in 1972. Officials at the Shepherd Center said they knew about the agreement but thought it would still benefit their patients for the two years they would be able to send patients to the island.

During the criminal trespass hearing, however, Jenkins testified he hoped to remain on the property after the lease expires, serving as caretaker for the rest of his life.

I haven't reported it to the IRS (yet), but I know someone who has.

Another letter would be useful.

Why couldn't L.W. Bruce have done the same thing two weeks ago? Maybe he doesn't want to. The hog farmer AND his minions must go.

Anonymous said...

L.W. Bruce is good man and has integrity. He did make evey effort and was lied to about where Smith was and was told Smith would contact him. Also, the schedule of where Smith was going to be was not posted at that time. L.W. will serve him.

Good point about Smith forgetting about his website and wanting to know how the process server knew where he was going to be. His butt had to have pucking. I would have give $100.00 to have seen that.

It will great to see his sorry butt on the 4th.

How did you know that the schedule was not up at that time? Looks like somebody already served the Thug-Good ol' L.W. is off the hook and you think he's a hero. What for -managing to avoid serving the sheriff who he has propped up all these years. Nobody said L.W. wasn't honest. Maybe he's just too dumb to use the internet.

The dumb sheriff being served at one of his speaking engagements is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. Everytime I think about it, I just laugh !!!!!

Who ever says he wasn't served is blowing smoke. To get it straight he was served a subpeona to be in Court. L.W. still has to serve the acutal complaint. It will be done.

Any one to cares to can check at the court house next week and find out the process served did serve the skunk. Go to the bank on that.

Well, there you go. If a process server can find BTW why the hell can't Mr. Bruce?

Did anyone get a transcript of Thugs Sermon? Would be interesting to see what he is preaching.

I wonder if "Sir Gene" Dawson may have videotaped one of BTW's "sermons?"

My name is... Johnny Wishbone and I am a psychic from the Isle of St. Croix. I read in the St. Croix Gazette that a certain lying, oath violating sheriff was bring problems to the good people of Camden County.
I see where the sheriff has been served with a subpoena. I see where he will take the witness stand, raise his hand and swear to tell the truth and then he will lie and say that he did not receive a subpoena. The man...no wait ... I smell something ...ahhh, it is hogshit, this hog farmer will not tell the truth but it will avail him not.

Just think Johnny Wishbone and I will come.
