Congratulations, Captain Griffin!

Sheriff Bill Smith has just promoted the official CCSO chaplain - and former coutroom bailif - the Reverend Verdell Griffin (who just happens to be the pastor of a black church in St. Marys with a very large congregation) to the rank of Captain. I'm sure his congregants will join me in congratulating Verdell.

After Bill Smith loses then he will demote or fire Verdell Griffin. The slime will do everything he can just to get those votes. VOTE TOMMY GREGORY

That's exactly what he's doing..

As many times as Billy has committed adultery, he needs a 24/7 chaplain.

Sorry Billy, your express ticket to hell awaits you.

If memory serves me correctly the last election Bill observed some "Vote for Rich Gamble" signs in Verdell's car and either fired him or threatened to fire him over it. When the Sheriff realized that he would loose a very large chuck of the African American vote, he re-thought his decision and they kissed and made up.

CONGRATULATIONS Verdell! We have known you for many years and know you have the integrity and character, that this would not influence you to do the wrong thing! I pray that you would not, anyway. When Tommy Gregory IS elected the next Sheriff of Camden County I really don't think you have to worry about losing your job!!!!! We pray you will do the right thing and vote for Tommy Gregory! God Bless

verdell was promoted to captain in front of his congregation during the last election. he was subsequently fired with 12 other deputies after the election because of his indiscretions with rich gamble's campaign propaganda and flyers; which, by the way, were found in his patrol car at the 4th of july parade. he was rehired because he was found to have cancer and his medical benefits were canceled. during his time as lt. and capt. he was never paid more than sgt.'s pay! i wonder if he got a raise this time!

Yeah, perhaps after Tommy is sworn in, Verdell - and for that matter Ernest too - can speak to me again when we run into each other in Aunt B's without fear of it getting back to Big Thug.
