All three county commissioners challenged.

As of the T&G's deadline yesterday, all three commissioners have at least one challenger (qualifying does not close until this afternoon). In District 3, Steve Berry is challenged by Republican Carla Carper. Does anyone know for sure if she is a BTW recruit, as rumored? In District 1, if I'm not mistaken (T&G says 1 is Rainer), Chairman Preston Rhodes is challenged by Craig Brack, late of the JDA. In District 5 (?), David Rainer is challenged by Republican Harry Callahan. Dirty Harry (just kidding)? Anyone know anything about Mr. Callahan. If he's not the anti-Christ, I do believe he is a viable alternative to Rainer. In the race for Clerk of Superior Court, incumbent Susan Waldron will face her VERY recently terminated former employee, Tina Murray. Tax Commissioner Beth Soles has only one challenger (so far), Kelvin Blue. Coroner L.W. Bruce has qualifed and has no challengers, yet. No one is interested in being the county surveyor, apparently.

Having been in the county all my life, there really isn't much difference between the two. The only difference is that Harry probably won't be on the re-elect Bill Smith for Sheriff campaign. The reason you might ask??? The story goes that Harry's ex-wife Sandra Addy left him for the Sheriff. Believe it or not!!!

Harry is no friend of the Sheriff. Ask around and you will soon find out they were sharing some thing more than tooth brushes.

Amazingly, I just had a phone call to that effect. Only that informant said that Sandra Addy snaked Harry away from his wife, then, once he had jumped ship for her, Smith snaked her away from him. Harry is also a former Camden County Commissioner. My informant thinks for more than one term, years ago.

Let's set: a choice between Smith Puppet Rainer or a former commissioner with an eternal hard-on for BTW?

Sounds like a no-brainer to me.
