I think royal means well, but he is not who I would consider to be a good leader. I am basing this on my experience with him on the Orange Hall Board. He is more of a worker than a leader . I believe he is part of the reason Gull lost.

The expression "Who ya gonna call" springs to mind! :-)
However, I would note that you don't get a master chief's stars and anchors out of a Cracker Jack box.
I have known some folks with Master Chief stars that have made me wonder "What were they thinking?".
As a former chief (HMC) I can relate to that.
